In fifth grade we had a project to write about a senior citizen who meant a lot to us. Our teacher was going to pick the best boy and the best girl, and their essays were going to be published in this little magazine. Well, it came down to me and Amanda Navarro...I had put my heart into this essay, it meant so much to me!...But Amanda was the one who got picked. I was devastated.
A few months later the entire 5th grade was putting on a little concert, and there was one solo that I really wanted, funny enough, so did Amanda Navarro...again I worked so hard to get that solo, and I did!
Me and Amanda ended up becoming pretty good friends in high school, and it was quite funny as we were going into college and discussing what our majors were going to be, I was going into Musical Theatre, and she was going to be an English Major, she wanted to be a writer...so I wonder, if things were reversed, and my essay had gotten published, and she had got the solo, would i be the english major and her the theatre major?
Anyway, I think I'm going to try this Blog thing...we'll see what happens
YAY! I'm a follower!! Aw rivalries... Well I certainly think I'll be enjoying the three of us at least sharing this blog thing haha.
